I am assistant professor at FUMEC University, Brazil, leading the Laboratory of Advanced Information Systems (LIAISE). My research involves technology for Semantic Web (OWL ontology, reasoning) and model driven development (MDE, UML, metamodel, model design). I received a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Koblenz Landau, Germany, summa cum laude, supervised by Prof. Steffen Staab. I am the lead developer of a tool for Model Driven Semantic Web and Semantic Web Enabled Software Engineering -- the TwoUse Toolkit. Prior to joining the FUMEC University, I held positions as researcher and project leader at the University of Koblenz Landau and as software developer at Unisys. My recent publications include papers in ECMFA 2010, ISWC 2010, EKAW 2010 and CAiSE 2011. I have served as program committee member of workshops and conferences like SLE, ONTOSE, SWESE as well as organizer of the TWOMDE workshops. I have given tutorials on my research at conferences like ECMFA 2010 and SPLASH 2010.
